What this recording covers

Claver addresses the proposal that institutions or Ripple might execute a formal buyback of XRP from retail market participants. He explains why institutional entities have no operational need to acquire assets from retail holders. Drawing from his direct discussions with Ripple representatives during early institutional custody onboarding, Claver recounts learning that the enterprise already maintains billions of tokens within its own reserve holdings. Because enterprise reserves are extensive, retail participants control only a minor fraction of the overall circulating supply. Claver states that institutional payment settlement and governmental operations do not rely on retail token supplies to function. As a result, network adoption proceeds independently of retail holdings, and institutions maintain sufficient internal reserves to conduct cross-border transactions without repurchasing tokens from the public.
